PTS Backs The Microgeneration Certification Scheme
15 June 2010
PTS is backing the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) by offering a range of accredited training courses from its Renewable Energy Branch in Aylesford, Kent.
Courses from one to four days in length are now available following PTS' partnership with Piper Assessment. Homeowners can apply for special funding when certain renewable energy products are installed by MCS accredited installers. PTS believes that this presents a great opportunity for installers and the industry as a whole.
Paul Johnson, Branch Manager at PTS' Renewable Energy Branch in Aylesford, said: "Installers that gain the MCS accreditation can offer their customers access to new funding streams, giving them a great opportunity in the renewable energy marketplace. This is a great route to allow installers to grow their business or break into the ‘green' sector for the first time."
Bob Pay, who recently attended the PV Course, added: "The course was very informative and it was definitely worth the time to attend. It was also excellent value for money considering the benefits that I'll now be able to offer customers."
PTS offers courses covering solar thermal technology, unvented hot water and water regulations, ground and air source heat pumps and solar pv, in addition to more traditional topics such as health and safety.
For further information with regards to training, call Piper Assessment on 01322 662180 or log on to www.ptsrenewables.co.uk under the training section.
