Renewable Heat Premium Payment
The Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme is a Government scheme which gives money to householders to help them buy renewable heating technologies. It will run in a similar way to the Boiler Scrappage Scheme whereby customers will get a fixed payment voucher for installing a renewable heating device.
It will cover the following technologies:
- Solar Thermal
- Air Source Heat Pumps
- Ground Source Heat Pumps
- Biomass Boilers
It will run for a short period before the full Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)* is launched later in 2012.
